Welcome to Gracemere State School
Gracemere State School proudly acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands across Queensland and pays respect to Elders past and present. Established in 1871, we are the oldest state school in Central Queensland and continue to build on our proud history as a vibrant, community-focused Prep to Year 6 school in the growing township of Gracemere. Strong partnerships with families and community organisations ensure our students are supported to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
At Gracemere State School, relationships matter. Guided by our values — Always Present, Always Safe, Always Respectful and Always Learning — we maintain high expectations for learning, wellbeing and behaviour. Our expert teaching team delivers evidence-based, high-quality instruction aligned to the Australian Curriculum, with a strong focus on maximising the academic growth of every student. Through clear processes, collaborative staff culture and aligned leadership, every child is known, valued and challenged to achieve their personal best.
Through our motto, Our Best Always, and our vision, United in Success, we provide a balanced and engaging education that nurtures curiosity, builds confidence and develops capable, critical thinkers. With specialist programs, modern learning environments and a dedicated Wraparound Services Centre, we create a safe, inclusive and caring community where students develop a love of learning, a sense of responsibility and confidence for the future.
